Starting with scene 1 (the 1st scene after the opening titles), every movie is introduced by shots of a silent and rather forlorn Mike Dean walking and cruising around San Francisco, in vain until the finale. All the others are getting it on. This somehow works well with the nostalgic and moody opening of the film (Kurt Williams alone on the beach in the cold speaking about the
end of the summer) confirmed at the end.

Kurt Williams, exposed chested with yellow shorts, walks along the beach with slender Lance Whitman, stripped chested in jeans. They stop and sit on a rock and Kurt begins rubbing his crotch to the wide eyed amazement of Lance. Lance takes the signal and pulls out his own knob. They the one and the other wave their dongs at the ocean and then head up into some driftwood for privacy.
