The 1st thing you'll watch in Bareback Riders 2 is a warning screen with a safer sex announcement, and it's the very inclusion of this message that makes my star-rating of the film a bit greater quantity generous than the clip rightfully merits. Yeah, sure, everyone knows barebacking with strangers is ludicrous, but those boyz are ostensibly real-live paramours, a notion that ought to mollify anti-barebacking moralists. As evidence, those sexy-in-an-Everyman-sort-of-way men surely don't look like porn stars. Or behave like porn stars. Maybe those passive couples are a bit likewise camera-shy but it'd be good if either of the pairings actually set their sheets on fire. Yeah, sure, they're fucking out of condoms and all, but they do it with all the excitement of a couple of titmice.
Beyond the yawningly tepid sex, the film further commits the next majority unconscionable sin: it's poorly discharged and lit. Oh, sure, anybody obviously invested in a lighting rig for the movie scene discharge, but four out of five videographers surveyed recommend u focus a beam of light onto the actual genitals, so that the "specie shots" will be clearly visible instead of being obscured in shadows, as they sometimes are here.
The audio is basically a wall of over-exaggerated ambient noise, groaning and juicy smooching sounds and the bumps of the camera being jerked and jostled.
Maybe I've become spoiled by the higher technical standards of other porn companies, but even the thrill of watching chaps screwing other chaps out of latex can't compensate for the bargain basement production values here. Or for the despairing lack of heat. Note to Bacchus: cancel the sequel and come up with smth that sizzles. Enjoy!..
