But I kept coming back to Warhol, and his work invades my life. My partners and I collect his art -- our 1st Warhol was a birthday gift to me from RJ. It's a screen print of the image used for the poster of the Fassbinder film Querelle and it hangs in our bedroom, depicting 2 boyz in a ardent embrace, one's ruby red tongue reaching out to take up with the tongue the ear of the other. We have drawings of lads and screen prints of drag queens and electric chairs (I know, I'm screwed up). As a tribute to Andy, I even painted the ceiling of our office iron silver -- a remembrance to The Factory that ruled fashion, pop art, and the 1960s.
