One of the greater quantity original porns of the latter-nineties, the "behind-the-porn-scenes" expose Johnny Hormone is indeed quite humorous, well done and hot as hell. Mr. Blade looks (and copulates astonishing as always, Drew and Kurt are mega-scrumptious and Anthony and Blue add to the foreskinned fuck frolics. Raunchy, rowdy, and for the almost any part a lot of enjoyment. Drew Andrews is a recent, not-shining-so-brightly-just-yet star in the world of homosexual porn. As a newbie, he’s got his sights set on filming a scene with the legendary Johnny Hormone, as portrayed in a somewhat half-assed manner by Blade Thompson. In fact, almost any of the portrayals (the acting in general) are rather and half-assed. If anyone ever said u that there’s no precious acting in porn, they lied. There’s plenty of great acting in porn, but it usually goes hand-in-hand with things like big budgets, admirable editing, and appropriate sound—all of which likewise appear to be to be missing from Johnny Hormone. Luckily, the sex ain’t so bad. Drew kicks off the act by popping in a vhs (oh, how we miss u 90’s porn) of his hung hero, Hormone (Thompson), and the semi-geeked out looking Kurt Stefano as a way of warming himself up for the large discharge. When the times comes, Johnny is a no-show, leaving a frustrated Andrews ringside with Ryan Block (the film’s real-life Assisstant Director) watching Brent Cross and Kyle Mckenna go at it hardcore. Eager to acquire his feet (and his shlong soaked, Andrews forgoes his scene with the legendary Hormone for the time being, and treats us to a little threeway act betwixt himself, Hank Hightower, and Steve Pierce. We then acquire to watch Hightower in some overly-romantic act with Cory Evans which, whilst hawt, appears to be a bit out of place. One of the film’s almost all stylish scenes comes courtesy of Ted Matthews and Steve Fox, who appears no thing short of a classic blonde, muscle guy dream (and who has too gone on to become an industry poster lad for suicide awareness, as that guy took his own life battling mental illness). Blue Blake puts it to Anthony Gallo in one more somewhat stylish scene, so lengthy as you’re a fan for huskier studs who show a little fur. The closing scene, however, which - of course - lastly receives Andrews and Hormone (Thompson) jointly for their much anticipated romp, can unfortunately but realistically solely be described as “not bad,” especially considering the fact the director Gino Colbert decided to finish things up with a little unnecessary, uncomfortable dialogue. Seriously chap, the spunk fountain would’ve been the consummate place to yell “Cut!”
