I'm often asked why it takes so lengthy betwixt my feature projects—part one of Answered Prayers was released in October 2013, and now here we are on Part Four: The Lamb. My answer to that question is usually the same: "It's not time yet."
During the time that that is a elementary answer, the truth is not that effortless. The process of creating our feature film projects with those astonishing, pretty souls is one as well as the other a fun and curse, as there are so many conflicting emotions, needs, hopes, wants and expectations attached to the process.
Too, my process—while creative—is chaotic at most good. In fact, my team is often surprised to watch the last result, even after experiencing the battle it's taken to receive there. However, no one is greater amount surprised that myself, since I am often overcome with fear, upset and self-doubt. I discover that, greater quantity and greater amount, it is this fear and doubt that creates the chaos that often rules our life's work, love, and being.
Oddly—or maybe it's the universe's idea of a unmerciful joke—from this chaos, great things can happen. From breakdowns come breakthroughs. And to that degree this is a necessary merciless in my creative process, the theme of Answered Prayers and the inspiration for The Lamb.
