Captivating, brawny Karl Forest is the focus of this artfully made and breathtakingly erotic late '70s classic French porn film. Giving the film a documentary-like feeling, Forest ? on and off camera ? narrates his experiences as a hustler and nightclub performer living in Paris (with spoken English translations). As we hear about his life, background, and philosophy, we observe Forest going about his every day routines, performing his cabaret acts and participating in stylized raunchy vignettes. Atmospheric, beautifully discharged, and blisteringly hawt, this moody portrait of lonely masculinity is potent and masterfully executed. Forest's performance is arresting; his physique is meticulously sculpted (we see him religiously exercising), this chab has tattoos on his biceps and scars on his lip and eyebrow, and this guy has an aggressive but detached aura, frequently sitting alone and smokin. His words sometimes contradict what we watch of his life. He is a self-critical narcissist who denies his striking build's impressiveness and jerks off and lifts weights whilst staring into the mirror. He fetishizes weapons and war, describes his stint in the military and former conflicts with law enforcement, is pragmatic and dislikes dwelling on negative emotions or wasting time on dreams, and values his independence and non-attachment. The film's opening features Forest, clad solely in a military helmet ? showing off his incredible physique and his big, uncut dong ? straddling and thrusting on top of a cannon. We start to acquire Forest's backstory as the camera enters a wooded area near where that guy grew up, formerly a battleground where this guy used to discover weapons from the war. Forest and some other chap are making love among the trees whilst a barely-glimpsed observer in a German uniform watches throughout binoculars. Forest describes his past as a youthful tough. We watch somebody playing pinball in an arcade and Forest ? sporting slicked-back hair and a white reservoir top and wielding a switchblade ? getting a oral-service from a kneeling chap in a baths. In a plain white room with solely a world map mounted on the wall, Forest is bent over a table and screwed by a juvenile 'cop' in sunglasses and a leather jacket, during the time that shackled and yowling. He then bonks the cop in return, clothed as a mobster and pointing a at the cop's helmeted head. In military fatigues, Forest enthusiastically eats a man's, then salutes and exits. At night in a hotel, Forest receives a wildly enthusiastic fellatio from a john. Finally, Forest returns home. He undresses in front of his mirror and masturbates, breath fogging his reflection as this guy comes. He rides off on his motorcycle. Forest himself is credited with the film's script and is the co-producer (along with director Wallace Potts, paramour of Rudolf Nureyev). Features pretty photography by Francois About (who sets the atmosphere and dynamically captures the film's sex scenes), choreographed performances, and an astounding musical score.
