My thoughts were all over the place since collision with Master Stone. Before I met him, I didn’t know it was possible for a body to experience such intensive joy. I’d had no comprehension of the concept of yearning; the idea that my body could need smth as much as my brain. I had longed, nearly desperately, to be summoned by Master Stone anew, and, as the days and weeks rolled past out of such an invitation, I discovered myself feeling increasing levels of despondency. He barely looked at me. I saw him smiling at other Apprentices and my heart broke. The deepest and majority crushing cut of all was being instructed to attend my calling, not by Master Stone, but by Master Snow.
