Petty theft. 19 year old caucasian male, 5’4″ (a.k.a. Elder Dalton on MormonBoyz and Zach Brenton) was caught on camera sneaking a piece of jewelry into his pocket. The suspect attempted to leave the store out of paying, appearing to try and avoid detection of theft. The loss prevention officer (Mike Maverick) managed to collect the item from the suspect previous to bringing him into the back room for questioning. While in custody, the suspect was uncooperative and difficult during transfer, necessitating a full cavity search to look for extra, undeclared items. Extra steps were taken to ensure the safe retrieval of merchandise, including the presence of a second loss prevention officer. An understanding was reached by the suspect and the loss prevention officer, and this guy was released out of involvement of law . $200.00 retail value recovered out of incident.
